Canada Ontario Job Grant ("COJG")


The federal and provincial governments have committed 100's of millions of dollars through the COJG program over a six year period, starting in 2014, to help employers off-set the cost of training existing employers to upgrade their skills; and to train new employees to meet their labour and skills shortages. Employers can receive up to $10,000 in funding per training participant.


We work as an intermediary facilitating the development and implementation training projects with various stakeholders, e.g. the government, employers, unemployed and under-employed individuals, third-party capital organizations, training providers, etc. 


(COJG Case Study: We help individual transportation companies, or a consortium of several transportation companies, to recruit, hire and train AZ Tractor Trailer Drivers, of which there's an acute shortage across the province and country. We can do this effectively because we have established relationships with the best truck driver training companies in Southern Ontario, and because we utilize our established relationships with Employment Ontario Services Providers, and our expertise with direct recruitment, to find good candidates.)


Youth Job Connection ("YJC")


STAT helps employers to access government funding through the YJC program, which provides financial incentives for employers to hire youth between the ages of 15 & 30. These funds are used to provide wage subsidies, pay for training, etc. This assistance includes


  • Writing training proposals
  • Negotiating with training providers
  • Completing relevant government forms
  • Collaborating on the design of the training programs
  • Liaising with government service and training providers
  • Assisting trainees with the implementation of their training
  • Advocating on your behalf with government departments and politicians
  • Developing the business plan (or justification) for the training expenditure

Training & Development Opportunities 


STAT Training Consultants will equip your staff with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out work-related tasks, and we can do it for front line staff, supervisors and managers. We will help with the ongoing, long-term improvement of employees' skills, enabling them to fulfil their potential within your organization. Recruiting the Right Talent


STAT specializes in finding the right skills in the right person for the job, and will do what is very rare in the recruiting business, i.e. we will stay with the new hires and work with them so that they successfully transition into productive, long-term employees; which can involve training, coaching, working as an intermediary between them and their direst supervisor, etc.


STAT markets directly for positions on internet job sites, but we also leverage our connections with government funded service providers, or Employment Centres. We can vet and interview potential candidates, or we can simply forward their resumes.


Our recruitment consultants are responsible for attracting candidates and matching them to temporary or permanent positions with client companies. They work with client companies, building relationships in order to gain a better understanding of their recruitment needs and requirements. Recruitment consultants attract candidates by drafting advertising copy for use in a wide range of media, as well as by networking, head-hunting and through referrals. They screen candidates, interview them, do background checks and finally match them to their clients. Consultants also provide advice to both clients and candidates on salary levels, training requirements and career opportunities. Specific activities and services include:
